You can find the pattern for the tree block on Marcie's Patchalot Patterns site here. There's also a gallery of other versions of her block.
I may take out the center green square and replace it with one that's nondescript and hides in the middle of the four green strips. The plaid stands out a bit more than I'd like. The red "Ho-Ho-Ho" fabric certainly is easy to spot.
Maybe I'll get this sandwiched and quilted in the next few days. No plans to go anywhere. I'm at the beck and call of DH, who's recovering from left knee replacement surgery Dec 5. Recovery is going OK. He was discharged home on the 4th day after surgery. I'm helping with a lot of tasks, and that dependence will decrease as he gets stronger and more mobile.

Love your little tree quilt! It's not too busy for me.....!!!!
Have fun on the quilting and I hope the recovery of DH's knee surgery will work out succesfully.
Love, Ria.
Hello nurse Vivian, good luck with the patient, hope his knee is soon mended. The quilt top looks great, well done to you.
I love it! I really do. If you can't be bothered unpicking the centre square you could applique something over it - a star maybe! Glad to hear that your husband is recovering well. I need to hear that as I have two knee replacements in my future and am not excited though I know they will make a difference. happy stitching!
Love your trees and glad to hear hubby surgery went well and he is doing nicely.
Love your little tree quilt - and I would leave it just the way it is!
I didn't even notice the plaid in the center until you mentioned it but it is probably more noticeable in person than in a photo. It's a cute pattern.
I just love that pattern--gotta go download it now. I didn't notice that plaid square until you mentioned it but if it bothers you, best change it!
Hope Randy is up and going soon. If my recollection is true from working for an ortho surgeon who did joint replacement, the average case of insanity in recovering male patients begins at week 2.
Love this Christmas quilt! Looks perfectly balanced to me!
Love those trees! My DH had major knee surgery 5 days before last Christmas...hope yours is healing well and being a good patient!
It looks wonderful! I'm sure Marcie will be pleased with your version of her pattern.
Looks great Vivian, I love the trees and the pinwheels really add a nice touch in red and white.
I didn't notice that plaid square either.
Hope hubby makes a quick recovery.

This turned out so cute, Vivian!
Hope DH recovers quickly.
great! I love the way the trees dance around on the quilt.
The pinwheels are so cute.
I love your tree quilt Vivian and good to hear surgery went well for DH.
The tree quilt is oh so cute. The pinwheel blocks make a good pop of color. And I like that there are so many variations of fabric in the trees.
I have had two knee replacements so I know what it feels like.
Cute!
Very cute
