Needle and thread withdrawal.

Princess Maddie looking at birds
Our son and his family departed for the airport this morning, MSP to ATL, and the family Thanksgiving gatherings are past.  My quilting withdrawal enters its third week.   Some quilt tops quilted early this month, but no piecing for 3+ weeks.   That's OK.  Family time is first; quilts can wait.

Quilting and sewing projects showed up here and there these past few days.  Old costumes kept little girls busy, and finished quilts became tents and hotels and picnic blankets.  How nice to have so many things to pull off shelves and out of storage.

I did have a sewing machine out twice--making a little carrying bag for a set of granddaughter Maddie's toys and mending some ripped travel bags.

I will soon have a new grandson, too - my first grandchild - at the end of March, and he can drool on any of my quilts, too. Hope you get some sewing time very soon.

Oh, good times! Nothing better than those little blessings from heaven to make getting older all worthwhile. Of course, I am not implying that you are old. : ) And lovely quilted pieces all over in the photos. I would love to sit in your home and soak up the atmosphere.
